Dr. Alyssa was born and raised in Salinas, CA where she graduated from North Salinas High School as a two-sport athlete in volleyball and swimming. She continued to play volleyball through undergraduate school and received her bachelor’s degree in Integrative Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. She went on to work as an athletic trainer at a chiropractic clinic, giving her the inspiration to attend chiropractic school. She graduated at the top of her class with her doctorate from the University of Western States in Portland.
Dr. Alyssa specializes in treating prenatal, postpartum, and pediatric populations. She uses a variety of techniques in conjunction with chiropractic adjustments including therapeutic exercise, manual muscle release, graston technique, and cupping. She is certified in the Webster Technique through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and is a certified BirthFit Coach. She is trained in Craniosacral Therapy through Upledger, infant developmental milestones through Kinactive Kids, and in the assessment and treatment of oral dysfunction in infants.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Alyssa is one of the founding board members of WE Connect Vancouver and is a volleyball coach for Excel NW Volleyball Club. She enjoys working out on her peloton, watching/attending sporting events with her husband (Dr. Kyle), and snuggling her golden retriever, Beau.
