Plantar fasciitis is inflammation of the connective tissue (referred to as fascia) at the bottom of the foot which spans from the heel to the toes and helps support the arch of the foot. Plantar fasciitis is the most common cause of heel pain and is most common in middle-aged adults, but can also present in young people who are active on their feet, such as athletes.
Other factors that put individuals at risk include being overweight, wearing improper footwear, having high arches or flat feet, tight calf muscles, or an abnormal splaying of the feet during the gait cycle (over pronation). Plantar fasciitis is usually noticed most when the sufferer first gets out of bed or up from sitting for an extended period of time.
Chiropractic care can help resolve this condition with adjustments of the foot and ankle, class IV deep tissue laser therapy, Kinesio tape, as well as strengthening/stretching exercises of the muscles of the foot and lower leg. We also offer custom orthotics from Foot Levelers which provides an orthotic specifically designed for your foot.

When I began with Dr. Cooper I was a physical wreck! I could barely walk, I was no longer able to take the stairs 2 at a time, I was dragging my left leg—kind of like the hunchback of Notredame. But in less than a year using Dr. Cooper 2x a week or less, I am walking, climbing stairs, sleeping better, even my digestion has improved! The whole office is amazing. The staff is all wonderful. Their products are phenomenal.Beth F.
