Shoulder pain is characterized by discomfort in the true shoulder joint; where the arm meets the body. Causes of shoulder pain may include rotator cuff injuries, joint and ligament sprains, and muscle strains. These types of injuries can be caused by one event such as a car accident, sports injury, or falling on the arm. Repetitive motions that cause a gradual wearing of tendons and ligaments are another common cause of shoulder discomfort.
Repetitive overuse injuries can be caused by repetitive computer work, manual labor (digging, hammering, and lifting), throwing motions (baseball, softball, javelin), swinging motions (tennis or golf), and home activities (painting, yard work, cooking, house chores, or walking the family pet). Chiropractic care has been shown to be very beneficial at not only alleviating the pain or discomfort, but also creating a more balanced system to re-strengthen and rehabilitate.
Chiropractic treatment often includes joint mobilization, heat or ice, myofascial (massage) techniques, rehabilitation exercises, and postural retraining.

Beautiful office with very nice staff. Karis Cooper is extremely thorough, taking time to really understand the problem and treat it. I feel like the care here is the best I've had in a long time. I highly recommend this place.Kristin A.
